AISA International NGO

historical

The International Alâwiyya Sufi Association (AISA International NGO) is a non-governmental organization with special consultative status with ECOSOC or the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (Report E/2014/32 Part I).

Aisa works in areas of expertise as varied as the culture of peace, gender equality, social development, environment, global governance, ethics and spirituality.

It works for the reconciliation of the human family by promoting the Culture of Peace, defined by UNESCO and by the UN (Resolution A/RES/53/243, 1999), as a transversal social bond for future societies through creation of schools of peace.

AISA International NGO draws its values from the universal wisdom of the Alâwî Sufi order which was recognized by UNESCO in 2013 (191 EX/32 INF.) as “a school for tolerance and inter-religious conviviality” promoting live together in peace. It oversees the preservation and transmission of this spiritual, material and immaterial heritage.

Within the framework of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) decreed by the UN by 2030, AISA International NGO contributes to the advent of peaceful and inclusive societies by updating mediation as a process of living together in peace ensuring social cohesion, respect for human rights and the maintenance of cultural diversity. She is notably behind the creation of the Synergy Network 17 SDGs and the Paris Declaration (UNESCO, 2017).

Our vision and values are inspired by the thought and work of Sheikh Ahmad al-‘Alawi, a great man of peace, who knew how to harmonize tradition and modernity. UNESCO, at its 37th General Conference in November 2013, declared the ‘Alawi Sufi Order “a school of tolerance and conviviality”. UNESCO, during its 37th General Conference, in November 2013, declared the Sufi order ‘Alâwî, as “a school of tolerance and conviviality. »

Invited to the first United Nations World Humanitarian Summit (Istanbul, 2016) AISA International NGO proposed to the international community the recognition of “the unity of humanity as a living, legal, social and political subject, responsible for the regulation of world for the benefit of all”. AISA International NGO considers the sacredness of life as an essential principle and proposes the synergy of each person’s potential through the method of the Circle of Awakening to Virtues and Qualities.

On the strength of these proposals, AISA International NGO supports the new generations and invites them to lay the foundations of a governance of the world which favors the economy of nature. By placing peace at the heart of all human and other relationships, education for a Culture of Peace raises awareness of the importance of the existing links between ecosystems.

There is an urgent need to reconnect with an economy that has respected the chain of life for millions of years and produces resources in abundance in a cycle of permanent renewal without generating waste.

A RENEWED VISION

The desire to go further in circular and shared governance within our NGO, in line with the evolution of the world, invited us to renew our vision by consulting all our members through discussions at regional, national and international levels.

This renewed vision and this new organisation, submitted to all the members of the NGO beforehand, were adopted at the Extraordinary General Assembly of 24 and 25 October 2020.
